I am a former NAACP Legal Chair and have a few observations for you. I heard about your TV coverage (yes, from a reliable source, ahem) related to this case in which it was implied that bloggers never check sources, etc. etc. blah blah blah.
Hogwash....... (attended by a request to appear on the show, as there are not too too many bloggers covering police murder trials on video and such.....take a look around).

I practiced First Amendment Law and almost never lost a First Amendment trial issue, probably 10-2 in favor.

And I have watched the NAACP miss the boat on prior occasion, when I was NAACP Legal Chair. They lied about me too, and I eventually prevailed against them and a nasty former cop whose word they took as Gospel when he said "King committed attempted extortion."
The cop and his prosecutor got drummed out of town, Martin Dunn and Bill Albrecht.

And I knew from my research that former NAACP Chief Bruce Gordon (who took a hasty powder) was a Veep at Verizon during the whole NSA debacle, and you know that's true, quite possible he knew of the Civil Rights violations and did nothing.
And in Franconia NH I sue the government and uncover truths about police shooting coverups that are the subject of a book and a pending movie, (Casey Sherman's Bad Blood: Freedom and Death in the White Mountains, here is Sherman's comment about me, i.e. "incredible work"):

I tell you all of this to say that in my life, I have seen Major Media commit more violations against the Fourth Estate than any blogger, I was also instrumental in getting the Boston Herald sued for Defamation:
