As we all know, back during my frenetic and ground-breaking coverage of the Revere Dan Talbot Murder trial, I on 27 Jan 2010 I took time out of my day to inquire on the status of the Justin Barrett Disciplinary proceedings for his racist rants.
I was told that a Recommendation was issued that a final determination would be coming forthwith, i.e. "within two weeks." Well two weeks have not yet passed, but what is the Delay? We all know the facts. And we all know that the ultimate discretion will be with the Commissioner. And we all know that litigation is likely but hey that's the price we pay for living in a Free Society, right. Fire him immediately and make your call on the pension issue according to precedent, but do it now, Sir. You said you were committed to firing him in no uncertain terms based on the facts as you knew them, and those facts have not changed, it's pretty much cut and dried.
Or black and white.
Sincerely,
Christopher King, J.D.
